Craters Inc.: Privacy Policy

Craters Inc. is a space colony game for phones and tablets made by Dinar Garipov (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play Craters Inc.

The short version: Craters Inc. does not collect any data. None.

• All your data stays on your own device. Your colony, your progress and your settings are saved only on the phone or tablet you play on.
• Nothing is sent to me or to anyone else. Craters Inc. has no account, no server, no analytics, no ads, no in-app purchases and no tracking, and it does not connect to the internet.
• I never see your progress or anything about you, and I have no way to.

Your progress stays on your device

Your colony is saved in a file on your device so you can pick up where you left off. It holds game data only: things like your credits, goods, buildings, colonists, research and settings, and the time you last played, which the game uses to work out what your colony did while you were away. The game never sends this file anywhere, and there is no copy of it anywhere else.

• Reset progress in Settings deletes it.
• Uninstalling the game deletes it too.

Your device may include the game’s save file in its own backups, such as iCloud Backup or your Google account backup. That is your device’s and your own choice: those backups are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and I receive nothing from them.

No analytics, no ads, no tracking

Craters Inc. contains no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, no telemetry, no usage statistics and no tracking of any kind. It has no accounts and no sign-in, and it uses no third-party services that collect data. It works completely offline and does not connect to any server.

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to sell, share, transfer, request access to or delete on my side.

Notifications

If you allow it, the game reminds you about things happening in your colony while the game is closed. These reminders are local notifications: they are scheduled by the game on your device, from your colony’s own timers, and nothing is sent to a server to deliver them. You can turn them off in Settings → Phone → Notifications or in your device’s settings at any time.

Purchases

Craters Inc. is free. It has no in-app purchases and no ads.

Apple and Google

The App Store and Google Play handle downloads and updates under their own privacy policies. If you have chosen in your device’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple or Google may share anonymous crash reports and aggregated usage statistics with me. These come from the store, not from the game, contain nothing that identifies you, and I only use them to find and fix problems.

Links

Links in Settings, such as Credits and Contact support, open your web browser or mail app. What happens on those websites, and in any email you choose to send me, is up to those apps and websites and their privacy policies. If you write to me, I use your email only to answer you.

Children

Craters Inc. doesn’t collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR give you rights over personal data that is processed about you. Since Craters Inc. processes no personal data on my side, I hold nothing about you to access, correct, export or erase. Your progress is on your device, under your control, and you can delete it at any time with Reset progress or by uninstalling the game.

Changes

If Craters Inc. ever starts handling your data differently (for example cloud saves, ads or purchases), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
