Craters Inc.: Accessibility
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Craters Inc. should be fun for as many people as possible. This page says honestly what the game supports today on iPhone and iPad, what it doesn’t support yet, and how to tell me what gets in your way.
What Craters Inc. does
- Dark interface. Every screen is dark by design: dark space and dark panels, with no bright white backgrounds.
- Play at your own pace. Your colony keeps going by itself, even while the game is closed. The mini-games in each job are there to play whenever you feel like it, or not at all; you never have to play one to keep your colony going.
- No sound needed. The game has no audio, so nothing important is ever told only by sound.
- Not only color. Many states use shapes and icons as well as color, such as up and down arrows, faces and symbols. Not every screen has been checked for this yet.
- Large touch targets. Buttons and tappable things are bigger than the pixel art they show, so you don’t have to hit tiny sprites exactly.
- Haptics you can turn off. Phones give gentle vibration feedback, which you can switch off in Settings → Phone → Haptics.
- Notifications you can turn off in Settings → Phone → Notifications, or in your device’s settings.
- Tutorial tips can be kept or skipped.
Not supported yet
To be clear about what to expect:
- VoiceOver and Voice Control can’t read or control the game yet: it draws its own interface.
- Larger Text: the game doesn’t follow the system text size yet. iOS Zoom (Settings → Accessibility → Zoom) works with it.
- Reduce Motion: the game doesn’t follow the system setting yet. It has screen shakes, flashes and moving backgrounds; please also read the photosensitivity note in the Terms and Conditions.
- Contrast: colors haven’t been fully checked against contrast guidelines yet.
- Orientation: the game is portrait only.
- Languages: the game is in English only for now.
Following Reduce Motion and checking contrast are next on the list. This page will be updated as they arrive.
